We Finally Got Hitched!

Wait, what?

Why is that in past tense?

Because it happened in the past. Specifically, November 24, 2019.

I can’t believe you didn’t invite me!

Jeez, now you sound just like our parents.

Seriously, though, why didn’t I get an invite?

It was a (very, very) small, private ceremony, attended by Lyz, Nathan, their two sisters, and the officiant.

But…

Elopement (noun): an act or instance of running off secretly, as to be married.

CElebrate With Us

You might be bummed that you didn’t get to dress up and do a thing; we get that.

We’d like to invite you to come hang out in the mountains with us from August 10-16th 2020 at Marble Creek Campground, near where we got married. We have 3 camp sites blocked out, there are plenty more available for reservation both at Marble Creek and nearby, and we’d love to see you all.

Come celebrate with us! Whether you can only come up for a day or you want to hang out for the whole week, we’re excited to share time out in nature with friends and family.

Not much of a camper? The nearby Ross Lake Resort or accommodations in Marblemount may be more your speed. Or maybe the whole thing isn’t your deal, and that’s okay.

Just kidding! 2020 is a year for staying home, staying distant, and staying safe. We don't feel good about asking friends and family to travel to help us celebrate in a big group. We'll try again Summer 2021. Stay home, stay safe.

We already have everything we could need: a cozy home, an exuberant black lab, a scraggly cat of indeterminate age who will straight murder you in your face, and the complete original run of Star Trek on Betamax. Besides, it’d be terribly rude of us to ask for gifts considering we didn’t invite you to the wedding.

But, if you’re feeling truly inspired to celebrate the change of the legal status of our relationship by spending your own hard-earned cash, hey, it’s a free country. We’d ask you throw that money at one of these deserving causes:
